Geezer
I'm not an expert myself, but it doesn't sound like future garage to me, and it's not grime or 4x4... 2step or UKG people? :D Link to comment
Geezer
ukg thanks, whats the best way to tell the difference? I don't know much about garage music :( Link to comment
holland5150
Personally, I would say this is uk funky, the bass line says funk for sure. UKG is that light percussion and vocal feel. Just my opinion. Link to comment
deelicious
I also don't claim to be an expert but I believe 2-step and UK garage aren't 2 separate genres; 2-step is a just a style of UK garage, as is 4x4. The bassline switches to 4x4 for a little bit @ 2:43 but I'd say this tune is 2-step. Pretty tough finding info on the net defining different garage sub-genres but this page isn't bad What is UK garage? Sweet jam btw :D Link to comment

Sweet jam btw :D I think it's fine to leave UKG as the "i dont know which style this is" section, a bit like how "house" is for the house section. I liked the litte 4/4 switch up... funny how this sounds so fresh but its over 10 years old, garage needs a comeback :( a few places play funky round here but not enough... I think cos noone agrees where this should go i'll keep it here ;) Link to comment

DespisedIcon
def 100% garage. no doubt. garage tends to have that 2 step early 90's type sound and groove. but i'm no expert. learning tho :D Link to comment
