GRiMLOK
Hey guys, Just wondering if any of you's have made any riddim tracks using Logic X & Massive? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
Mephistopheles
None that I've finished, but iv'e played around in logic. (PC user) The automation in logic is really simple and quite usefull for riddim. Also use some fab filter plugins, they are absolutely wonderfull. Link to comment
GRiMLOK
https://soundcloud.com/grilzin/wip I made that main bassline using Massive but everywhere I've read you need to add effects to the synth after Massive the problem is I have no idea what... I'd love to make a bass like this: https://soundcloud.com/xtrillin/yogi-burial-skrillex-trollphace-remix-higher-quality I just have no idea where to start to get that kind of sound!! Thanks bro for your quick reply Edited October 29, 2014 by GRiMLOK Link to comment
Mephistopheles
I'm no pro, there are way better producers on here! But my guess is. Drop the internal effects in massive, ring modulation can stay :p. Layer your synth more and eq them to absolute perfection. Think of it as the rings in a tree when you see a cut through. More layers, more filling, although you need to reserve space in the spectrum. So Eq it right. And boost up the sub ! And as for post effects, i'm not sure. Probably same old compression, eq and reverb (really small ones). Don't know if this helps. Maybe check youtube? Link to comment
Bulker
Try chorus, flanger and notch filters. They do wonders for riddem-ish effects Link to comment
