Hack Jerer
This fucking song makes me want to be a DJ so badly. Don't talk about it, be about it. Link to comment
Tyler Durden
Don't talk about it, be about it. It's a huge investment, and I don't even have any musical background. I only have the attitude, the library, and the enthusiasm. Link to comment
Mikeyboy
It's a huge investment, and I don't even have any musical background. I only have the attitude, the library, and the enthusiasm. I know this feel, I try and mix abit on VDJ (I know it's not the same) but I'm pretty shocking haha. Takes a lot of practice, more than I thought anyway, to be able to mix songs well. Would help if I knew someone in real life who could teach me properly but meh, I'll fuck around on VDJ for now haha. Link to comment
Hack Jerer
As soon as you can, get off of vdj and on something physical. Link to comment
Swiftes
Yeah, id vote on some Numark NDX400's if you are after cheap Decks, my mate has a set and they are really good for the money. I recently moved from Vinyl to digital and got 2 x CDJ800's, best thing I ever did. Link to comment
Mikeyboy
I'll definitely look to do that when I get some income coming, CDJ's recommended then? I did look at a few at the start of this summer, but I lack knowledge. I'll be definitely coming here for recommendations when I do get the money. Link to comment
linkismyhero
I know what it's like to have a song/artist/mix make you want to get into DJing. Listening to Pendulum's 2005 Essential Mix about 100 times was what got me to plunk down the cash on a pair of 1000 MK3s and a little 2-channel mixer, which I just upgraded to a 900 nexus. :) You don't have to start super expensive man, You could get some smaller 10" CD players like the Stanton CMP.800, which actually has pretty solid build quality and are a fraction of the cost of CDJs with practically all of the features and then some. And if you end up loving DJing, you can sell them off and put that towards a pair of large-format players. :) Link to comment
