FLAC is a lossless package, much like a zip or rar are packages with the full file inside. The wav is contained inside, flac just wraps it up a bit smaller. Link to comment

You are using Scratch Live and not Serato DJ right? Are you on the lastest version? I don't think it would make much of a difference because I have used both and have never had an issue with FLAC but I constantly have to re-encode WAV because they routinely show as corrupted Link to comment
