Cry me a river... sheesh... I was talking to Mark Instinct once about a year 1/2 ago. A good few months after "Badman Sound" came out. He said he made less than $50 off of royalties on the tune, and it was a biiig tune at the time, every filth dj played it. EDM artists just don't make money off of tunes, nobody really does unless you are selling 100,000's of thousands of copies of ALBUMS not singles. Noah is right. Releases just help you climb the pay-scale ladder for DJ Gigs. The more known your releases are, the more you get paid for your traveling/road gigs. The top DJ's here in chicago get around $150-200 for marquee HOME gigs, but you're lucky to get $30-50 if you don't have releases.

so i am sorry if i took 5 cents at most out of his pocket, i'm sure he's crying about it as he's prob in the air flying to some country for a 1-2 HOUR DJ GIG... C'mon now, BS if you say any dj want's to give up that life. It doesn't get better than an artist like RUSKO getting $50,000+ PER SHOW!!! For an hour or two's work, playing the same set over and over again for years. I've seen and played with Caspa a few times... He basically played the same set each time, even the same number of rewinds on the same played out songs. Don't tell me he's stressing about "Having to do gigs to make money"... thats idiotic.

At least somebody else knows whats up.
