DJJoeMcGee
Hey everybody! (this is actually my first post) I'm inspired to start DJing and creating my own Dub-step and Drum & Bass (I know everybody is these days) I studied abroad in Leeds in the U.K. last fall and fell in love with the two genres. I downloaded REASON 5 the other day and have been pulling all nighters trying to figure this bitch out and I'm realizing it would be a lot easier if I had a Keyboard because creating melodies and Basslines on a laptop is annoying as hell. I want to take full advantage of these awesome Synthesizers inside of Reason. I NEED A MIDI USB KEYBOARD and I have a budget of around 200bucks. Any recommendations? I want something reliable, one that doesnt feel flimsy and cheap... Thanks(music) O yeah and I'm willing to sell my Xbox 360 for more money if I can be convinced that it is absolutely worth it. lol Link to comment
nufan1121
Im not sure exactly what your looking for in your controller, pads, encoders etc, but this baby has them all - Just not sure if you can get them in your country? under 200 bucks i believe: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Akai-MPK-Mini-USB-MIDI-Controller-New-Stock-/120809392171?pt=Midi_Controllers&hash=item1c20cd082b I used to use that before i upgraded to the novation which would have been my recommendation but was 240 pounds for me which is something like 400 dollars isnt it? Anyway, you can go cheaper but they really do start to feel 'flimsy and cheap' like the Korg nano controllers and the M audio oxygen, but akai make better quality products in my experience. Good luck to you =] Link to comment
Ambrosia
Around 200 bucks? Perhaps the M-Audio Axiom 25 Link to comment
teh1buck
Akai MPK25 qnH_SfeCsTw At least this is what I'll be buying for my entry into the production world, along with the Hercules MK4 for mixing.. both are going for $150-250 each, depending on where you're getting it and how "used" it is.
