Playing around a bit... if someone have advice how to improve that synth (make it louder or phatter) it would be so cool :) Also it's electro house- y tune :D (beer)

Ill leave feedback tonight... i have exam in few hours :|

Not too shabby. As for the synth, distortion really helps with making things stand out/hit harder. If you have a saturator or anything really that will make it sound harder but not completely change the tone that would help quite a bit I think. And as for fattening a sound I found yesterday that Steve Duda actually took the dimensional expander from massive and made it its own vst, I love widening up sounds with it. You can find that here http://xferrecords.com/freeware/

@tncee that shit is insane :o (bomba) do you ever release any of your tunes?

usually i do , but most of the time i save em up to release them when im running out of ideas :D

the main reason why theres so few tracks released is that i want to keep up with the standart's which is harder than i initially thought (hmm)

question: is there a reason why my mixes sound like shit whenever they're uploaded to soundcloud? in ableton & the wavs all sound great (tons of space, noticeable reverb that's supposed to be there, etc.), but then they all sound ridiculously flat when uploaded to soundcloud

i assume it's because it's going from raw digital shit to a waveform?

i need to learn this mastering/EQing black magic

can anyone recommend any good (free) mastering lessons/websites? all the good ones i've found use expensive ass VSTs/software or you gotta pay out the ass for the lesson

Try iZotope Ozone 5, it'S a bunch of plugins which might help you with this, since I got no mastering skills at all, I'm using Ozone mastering plugin (on master track) and I think it's juuuust fine for the beginners :)

@andius thats fucking sick man. that reverb on those snares is perfect. really digging it man. that vocal sample is sick. vibes right here

edit: also everything sounds clean as fuck as far as I can tell

Thanks for the good words man! I always have problems with mixdowns because I mainly produce on headphones. The lowend always gives me trouble in that a lot of times its way too much, or its hardly there on other systems. I guess this one is sounding alright though haha.

Just curious what are you listening on? (I think everyone giving advice in this thread should say what they are listening on btw, makes the advice more helpful in my opinion)
