@All of you guys.. thanks for the feedback. I've taken it to heart and working on Manbearpig. I find it to be more balanced after some tweaks and well again input is great. I also just came across this new idea when I was putting down this bassline ive used in my new track called alien space taxi (hehe gotta look for some good vocals for that).

It's midnight here atm so I can't listen to your tracks for the ones that posted but I will be back haha like always!

Haven't seen this thread for almost 2 years :) All the tunes above are awesome, congrats everyone :drinks:

I did not have time to sit in front of my PC in ages. Here is something that was cooked up, mostly testing some mastering techniques.

Damn haven't been here in a while, sooo much good shit coming from u guys! @Anunnaki I'm getting amazing vibes from Vac2017, reminds me of 2008 D&B (obsessed with the snare). What DAW u use? Seriously, thats some gold right there, you should continue on it; I'd like to see what you can do with it, wish I could remix it lol.

Here's a D&B piece I'm working on...

Hai everybody! *hai Dr. Nate!*

Been a while, glad to see this ole' thread is alive and kicking. A few new productions below, would love to get all y'all expert opinions. I've honestly been generally pleased with my production progression over the last few years, which is a new/nice experience. However, it means I have new blindspots, so critical feedback becomes even more critical. Some of these I may have a posted a different incarnation before, but now they're in, if not final, then very-nearly-final-form. Ill tag and leave feedback below :drinks:

@Omer excellent grooves! I love the synth patterns and rhythms you have working. The synth sounds are also very appropriate together, though I think they sound mashed together at parts. Perhaps more EQ on the high key melody and more stereo imaging overall? I also think your mid-highs need more of an envelope to their compression besides the kick sidechain (which sounds great btw!) Maybe some more groove to the kick drum as well throughout, as it sticks out asplain with all the other awesome automation you've got going on. Great melodies too!

@Ganjastep daaaark flooows. Love the brutal forthwith of your main synth. You handle the subbass timing and rhythms with the main synth very well too. I think you could do with more FX throughout to spice things up and give more weight to percussion (especially in intro). Also not sure whether it was intentional or not, but i would mix up/compress your kick a lot more to establish a different flow from the synth. fits your unique style very well tho :ganja3:

@Anunnaki fuck yes man! first off, if you did these to test mastering techniques, both tracks fucking bang through my monitors/sub and 701s. Your envelopes on XxX's low mids are so clean and punchy. the kick and hats sit right up in there. I do think the snare/clap gets lost towards the end when the badass sounding hoover comes in. a bit more automation/polish and it would really truly shine! I also really love Vac2017's melodies, instruments and rhythms. I think the reese style bass could use a bit more oomph, but besides that dont really know what else to say. Amazing work :drinks:

@Lunatick Manbearpig sounds fucking great now. I love your treatment of the drums, they have a really garage-y feel/sound. Synths and levels and varied and interesting with drums punching while still letting other elements shine. Really impressive! Alien Space Taxi is probably my fav tho. Your sound palette is incredibly cohesive and mixed together extremely well; present, but also atmospheric. Void is great and just needs a final mix/master. I'm extremely impressed though, you could very seriously be submitting these with a press packet to labels. Keep it up m8! <3

@tkky as always: unique, technically impressive, and purposefully written. I really think this style is very fitting for you, it lets your melodies and mixing talents shine. I would think about layer your kick drum so that there is always at least one centered element tho. I really love the stylistic panning, but it can sound overly frenic/distracting without feeling like there is a devoted center bass. That's such a nitty critique tho, so it shows how really great and pulled together your work has become :drinks:

@Nate River Thanks a lot for that great comment man! I appreciate it.. I'm slowly progressing and working on doing just that. I just lost the feel for a little while in between but im back to create some stuff! I had some new idea's and I progressed on one of those. I'll be coming back to finish up those three tracks also but all in due time haha.
