andius Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Should never distort the whole synth you are using imo. I always have a clean version of the synth that is like the foundation. Then I mix filtered versions of that synth with small amounts of distortion into the clean source. Keeps the lower EQ ranges from getting muddy and you have way more control over the movement of the synths working together. Link to comment
