bSQUARED08
I always say the human race is stagnant and has been for a LONG time, and this just helps prove my point! I would agree on some fronts... The vast majority of people are what I would call "comfortable". I'm somebody (and I know I'm not alone) that has become drawn to discomfort. What I mean is that I go against the grain- I have chosen an ambitious, hedonistic sort of path of interest that much of society would consider a "dead zone" of sorts. I've accepted that anything worth doing won't be easy (and that's great- challenges are healthy). I'll be an artist regardless of what occupation I fall into. I refuse to become somebody that society "wants" me to be if that's not in support of my own interests... That's enough of a rant lol. Here's part of a large-scale drawing I'm currently working on: Link to comment
bSQUARED08
And some more... An awesome St. Benedict statue at Montecassino: The main chapel at the Basilica di Montecassino: And a closer look at the ornate details: The entrance to the Santa Maria della Vittoria in Rome: A look down a long roadway in Rome: And one of many phallic symbol at Pompeii... Apparently these were symbols of luck & fortune or simple aiming devices for directing business to the brothels: Link to comment

bSQUARED08
all of those are unreal!!is that one of the crowd made of little pieces?? Thanks man (approve) ... And yep. It's a painting-turned-mosaic by Roncalli in St. Peter's Basilica at Vatican City, Rome. Incredible detail in the mosaic- totally looks like a smooth-rendered oil painting from 20-30ft. away.
