MRhappysmile
As the UK scene varies so much some songs can't really fall in a genre. Would say it takes elements of deep oldschool dubstep sounds like that of mala, loefah, skream in the early days of dubstep and that of techno coming out of the UK. The problem with techno on this site is, for such a big genre there isn't really enough categories/subsections for it. (Nor is there any real need to either as its not as popular a genre as the majority of others on this site). From what I've gathered, there is quite a few people that look out for releases off swamp81, lobsterboy, schl recs etc. so it'd be nice to have it all in one section rather than in deep house / techno etc when it shouldn't be. I'm sure most will agree it isn't technically a genre. Would say also it makes sense to have UK techno in here too, as people looking for the UK techno sound will also be looking for UK bass. Just a suggestion. Anyway for those who don't know these are a few examples. sp_ceboy
Big fan of this explanation. Happy to see UK Bass getting it's own even though I do agree it is more of a hub vs a genre. Link to comment
zerocyber
Sometimes I wonder if there are just too many genres. Link to comment
