Tracks lag, when played back due to tempo change

I've always noticed this with my tracks. I use FL & sometimes Audition. If the tempo of the track is 124, and I change it to 127 while playing, it seems to skip kinda, and lag.. not like CD skip, but the song just like can't adjust to the tempo change smoothly, and it's choppy, kinda the way virtual DJ recordings sound. Why is this happening & how do I fix it?

good question, dont know whats happening, but i know that virtual dj does it - and its annoying as fuck.

havent noticed it happening with FL though, always thought its a problem caused by the shitty VDJ-engine. the FL engine seems pretty advanced to me, i would classify my setup as pretty neat (speaking of pc power and interface/soundcard quality), so i guess a lot of it lies in the process of live sounds.

does it skip when you render the sounds as well or does it only occur when the changes you make are live? because then i would guess the buffer cant handle whats happening.

not the playback while producing in FL, that's always laggin or skippin due to the PC usage and all the plugins.. but the actual finished exported wav/mp3. When played out through any mixer (I have a mixdeck quad), even in serato sometimes.. if you change the bpm, even just 2 or 3 up or down, you can hear it just lags.. like it doesn't have the seamless ability to stretch the bpm, and keep the quality and pace of the track... like all mainstream tracks do. you know?

yeah, sounds like what VDJ does exactly. i dont even know why that happens, i for myself think i have enough resources for the pc to handle that, but it cant. maybe someone can bring some light on that matter.
