Welcome!!! Clublander's to the 2nd Official Production Battle, of the Unofficial clublandlv forums. Your song is DUE 4/6 Sunday by 11:59 pm UTC -9:00 Alaska.

We will be using these stems provided by clublandlv's member Andius, from the Bay, California.

[Overview]

-To battle each other in a fierce battle that will require not only wit, creativity, but straight up knowledge to take what you got, and make it pop.

-This is like boot camp for producers, ya know, the kind that sit in a 100k studio, and get handed the newest mix from lady gaga, and it's a mess. But you'll do it, cause they are paying you 50k to ghost produce it.

-Well you now have a stems/one shot samples, and only a few days to produce the most battle worthy track.

[Rules]

-Download the provided stems, and use them to complete a track that is within 60 seconds, to 120 seconds in length.

-We ask that you use the sounds provided, but we will not limit you in how you modify the sounds you are given. Use as many side-chaining, vst plugin's, amps, affects, as you want.

-You are allowed to add some new things to it, just try and keep it minimal.

Reason for this, is this gives us the same starting point, we were all handed the same "song", but we are now battling it out and seeing who will take what your given, and go the farthest with it. That's the battle, it's a production battle.

[Voting]

-Everyone is allowed to vote 1 point to their favorite song. If you want a goal on your voting, go with what song had the biggest impression to you when you listened to it. We ask you, as viewers, to vote! this is worth a lot to the people putting their songs into this battle. When someones gives you a point because they enjoyed your song. So we ask that you guys be active and help us in finding out who had the "best" song for the battle.

-If you put in a song to the battle, you are allowed 2 votes. You are allowed to vote for yourself, this is a battle after all. It is up to you if you want to give 2 separate songs a point, or put both of them into 1 song. I will tally up the scores.

-To vote, just put a post that says #1/2 point(s) to "name"/and "name", this will make it easier for me to see it, and just give it a format. People like format's right?

[Incentive]

-The First battle hit over 600 views, even though we started with only 4 of us, this will grow. I noticed a lot more plays on my sound cloud for one. If you want to be in music and grow a crowd of fans, these kind of events will do that. I will keep this going each week we will have a new battle, with a new set of stems, a complete FFA, or even a TEAM PRODUCTION BATTLE. We will even do remixes of popular songs if we can agree to one.

-You will also be awarded in the Hall of Winners, which will be the 2nd post in every single new thread of Production Battle's. This is comes with great honor and glory. For you will be heralded as an amazing producer. For all to see, for years to come. Until I get signed, then I'm outta here. jk jk.

This is not meant to be time consuming, use this time to start a new project, and go with your gut feeling. This can be a great way to just be yourself, and do something you know works best, or something you never done before. Fuck why am I even having to give you incentive. It's a production battle, Time to be the bad ass you are. Show us what you got, because we all want to win this.

NOTE: This competition is still in beta mode, I will always accept any requests on making it better.

Also, keep in mind, I rather get entries to songs, then not at all. If you want to compete, and not follow our rules and just make a track, then feel free too. While we do request you keep your voting to the songs that followed the rules (as you will be "dq" if you didn't :P), we still love music and want to hear what you got. Keep in mind, their FFA competitions will not have any stems, some will allow you do whatever you want to make a beat. Some may allow loops, others not, and will require you to use soft/hard synths or plug in guitar's/pianos and what not.

(the rest is me just babbling)

Have fun, and keep in mind this is a battle. Criticism is a must, and is the difference in posting here or just posting your music anywhere. You are 100% allowed to say what you want to other peoples music as long as it follows clublands guidelines. It's the best way to learn, to get other people's opinions of your music and decide what you want to do with it.

It's helped me become a lot better, and that's why I started this. To have fun, post music I make, and get feedback other than "oh that's sweet". No this is a battle, tell me what I did wrong, not what I did right. Cause I want to improve what I'm not doing right :D

Oh what I have cooking is going to rock you guys BUAHAHA

Anunnaki - Love the beat, you would get my vote but being a production battle, this is no time to be holding hands. I did feel like the vocals the way they were used a bit repetitive for my tastes (but on second listen it didn't really bother me as much. UGH! don't know what to think). But that jungle beat you got going... So good :D. I have to say you win my vote with the drums for sure.

Andius - First minute almost put me to asleep, but that 2nd half... so good... and even though the vocals got on repeat it was very tasteful. Now I have to finish my song to see if you get my 2nd vote, or if I do :D

EDIT: After listening to your song again Andius I have to say the 2nd time it just sounded lot better to me. This is definitely a tougher competition then the first one.

But, we'll have to see when i'm done :D

@andius... Very unique, i like the way you used that sample and also that bassline sounds clean and good :)

@dj fanelli... If only you made dnb man :D It's just that trap isn't my kind of genre so i mostly don't know what to comment... I listened your take for 4-5 times thinking what to say... I like everything besides that style (kick), everything else is so smooth, listening over headphones and mix sounds good ! Overall i think your use of sample and tune sounds good.

Ill vote tomorrow, maybe someone else post something, i need some time to think about it (beer)
