Producers looking to become professional ASAP

Look at Funtcase. He came to popularity making all his tracks on Reason with only 1 monitor.

FL, Ableton, Cubase, Logic etc are all easily transferable as mentioned previously. It's usually just a case of learning new short cuts for the DAW you wanna try.

This is a sick idea though. I haven't much music in the last couple of years due to my living circumstances but I am back in the UK now and awaiting a new PC for production purposes (arriving in the next few weeks), so I am 100% gonna be in.

On a separate note are we still doing the Clubland Producer Compilations??, coz they were sick and had some right gems.

I think the prodigy used reason to make one of their albums as well. At this day and age, everyone of the big name DAW's is more than enough to make sick tunes if you know what your doing. They all have sound engines good enough pump out tunes that will smash dance floors. We're living in a good time at the moment, we can make music on equipment that cost less than a grand.... you could even do it for half that. Back in the day, one sampler or one synth would set you back more than that.

I learned how to produce on reason, now I'm using Ableton.

All I see is squabble about DAWs in here. This is the exact reason why what OP wants to exist, fails to exist. People get so distracted about frivolous shit spend time arguing nuances that JUST DO NOT MATTER when they should really be working on their music with that time instead. What DAW you use DOES NOT MATTER.

There SHOULD be a skill level cut-off a.k.a you should already be producing at a certain proficiency level and your music must sound good to a certain extent. The cutoff shouldn't be too high but if you want this to succeed, it CANNOT devolve into "how do I make 808's" threads. It should look more like "What are some different techniques to influence difference sub resonance frequencies for low end sounds" or "Here is my synth/mixdown/patch, etc. Here is what I did, where did i go wrong, How do I get better?". TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR FREE HANDOUTS.

This SHOULD NOT be public access (ClublandLV account is a nice barrier). Sorry, but this ASSURES quality. There should be another measure; See above for skill qualifications.

There SHOULD be heavy moderator participation. This forum should be curated very well, but only by knowledgeable individuals and they must prove their worth.

There NEEDS to be heavy user participation. OP specified people who are "serious", but i've encountered people who are "serious" for the first few weeks that they are interested in production, and then give up because it's too hard.

Call me when you want to go full Dogs on Acid in this forum. Until then, this is just going to fall apart as it has in hundreds of other forums.

this just in: people still talking about FL as if its some regressive DAW... yeah, the sound engine sucked up until FL 8 or so, but in 2015 theyre already releasing FL 12. the sound engine is as good as in any other DAW on the market. just take a look at emalkay, deadmau5 and so on - FL Studio.

im starting to dig deeper into carnival right now, keen to show anyone what ive been working on for the last couple of weeks if anyones interested

Yeah those idiots are clearly ignoring the beautiful piece of work that Madeon just put out. It sucks to be ignorant, but there isn't much you can do to make people think otherwise.

I would love to be apart of this group, I do want to become a professional music producer as it has been my dream since I first heard the Homework EP by Daft Punk. I am willing to learn anything and everything so I can begin. What can I do to become apart of this as I do want to take production seriously and make something out of it in time.
