Getting back into production, where do I start?

Also @apocolyps755I'm somewhat "meh" when it comes to subs only because you need a room with decent acoustics, and it can be tough to tune/calibrate to true accuracy.

Unfortunately, the apartment I'm in has SHIT acoustics, and to have it treated properly would break me financially. I'm focusing on finding a better place and THEN assessing what I need from there myself. I have KRKs (which are a bit too warm for accurate mixing) for the time being, but honestly I use my ATH-M50X headphones more than those. Jphelpz tipped me off about those YEARS ago, and I finally just got around to grabbing a pair in the past year. Really wish I hadn't slept on that advice for so long tbh lol

A trick I used back in the day was getting two headphones. a bassy one and a full spectrum one. Get used to both and you'll be able to mix subs just fine

We're talking the difference between flat rate response vs (WAY too much) distortion based headphones. 

I mean I was "working with what I had" at the time, but dear god I cant emphasize how bad those headphones are!

Yeah start with monitors and see if from there it's applicable to your space and music you're making.

C'mon man you shouldv known. Beats are a fashion product. Like shoes or cool sunglasses. They serve no purpose for people looking for audio quality ?
