MacBailey
What DAW do you use? Reason 5 & Logic 9 (Still learning Logic) What genre or genres do you prefer to produce? House music of all kinds, really getting into Techno as well. Trying to find some middle ground! How long have you been producing for? Actually producing tunes, 3 years.. no more than 4! What VSTs or synths do you favour? Well since I'm using Reason 5 as my main DAW, Maelstrom and Thor are my two mains synths. I have been using Massive since I've been using Logic... and some FM operator. Still getting to know these guys... What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound? Im not 100% sure because its hard for me to categorize what i make. Like i just made two tracks that would reflect a bit of an early Low Steppa vibe... but the stuff I'm on now is a deeper garage style with lots of different unusual sounds. Maybe a bit of Dirtybird or something more straight forward. Not clear on this one guys, sorry haha. Influences? Im all over the place when it comes to music... a lot of the whole "House & Bass" scene has had a big influence for me. Labels would defo be Dirty Bird, Food Music, Bullet train, Simma Black, This Aint Bristol, Domino effect, Bear Fresh, Four40, Nightbass etc etc. But people like Paleman, Bicep, Midland, Blawan, Pariah and Surgeon have got me into the Techno for sure.. a little darker and more minimal. Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? Either or works great. None of my friends make music really so in person would be even better. I live in Vancouver BC but go to Vancouver Island twice a month so if you live around let me know!!! What is the best way of contacting you? [email protected] or Facebook or CLLV. Provide a link to where your music can be heard. I have been keeping everything to myself past two years... working on everything so my SC is a very poor representation of my sounds to date. If your interested more i can directly link you Originals or Remix's. I noticed D_Bound did a remix for Left Wing & Kody which is awesome.. i also did one etc etc but haven't posted. Thanks guys this is an awesome idea! https://soundcloud.com/mac-bailey/mac-bailey-artful-dodger Link to comment
Walter Wonkite
What DAW do you use? Ableton Live 9 What genre or genres do you prefer to produce? Glitch Hop/ Future Beats type stuff. Made a lot of dubstep due to its simplicity with drum beats, etc. Really interested in trying to make some nasty future house/ electro house stuff How long have you been producing for? A couple years. I haven't cranked down on it nearly as hard as I'd like to What VSTs or synths do you favour? I just got Zebra 2 and it seems pretty baller. Accidentally deleted my torrented copy of massive, debating on getting that again. Sausage Fattener is useful at times, all of Ableton's native plugins are whats up. What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound? Not sure. Influences? Older dubstep, Skope, Disprove, Koan Sound, Opiuo, Slynk, Mr. Bill, etc Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? Either one works, doubtful I'll run into anyone from Kansas on this forum who also produces. I do have a splice account and that seems pretty nifty What is the best way of contacting you? Zero
I know I posted in this one when it was started, but I figured I'd revive the thread since its been inactive and I'm trying to get back into it as well as learn as much as I can from whomever wants to teach me. What DAW do you use? FL 11, but I have Ableton 9 as well, I'm just not as well versed in it. What genre or genres do you prefer to produce? Mainly dubstep, with some trap throughout. Used to be just Deep Dubstep, but its gotten to be a wider range of genres How long have you been producing for? ~6 years on and off What VSTs or synths do you favour? Massive & Serum (New to that one) What artists/labels would you say most clearly reflect your sound? The stuff I've mainly finished is like the chestplate/deep dubstep kind of sound, but I think I'm aiming for a style somewhere between G jones, Tipper, and some nasty Riddim Influences? Bass music of all types. Would this be a remote collaboration, or would you prefer someone to work with IRL? probably remote, but IRL would be dope What is the best way of contacting you? here for now and we can go from there Link to comment
