Best Midi Controller for FL studio?

Mr Happy

Recommended Posts

I tried searching but only found topics about dj controllers. I'm new to this whole producing thing, and am looking for a controller that will have both drum pads and a small keyboard. My budget is around 200 dollars. The only other restriction is that it has to be simple to map to fl studio, cuz I havent got a clue what I'm doing with that program sometimes. What do you guys use/ recommend? Im just trying to get some ideas

I've enjoyed using this in the past, everything feels nice and solid.

Not sure about mapping for FL studio, but im sure its not too hard. Theres probably 100's of guides out there for midi mapping. It was super easy to map in ableton.

i was gonna suggest this cuz m-audio is the shit.

i have the axiom 61 and it does everything i need

Yeah, I have an akai mpk 25 (and have used the larger versions in the mpk range), it has a lot of features for the price but everything about it feels like a cheap toy..

Would def go with a keyboard with less features and better build quality.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Akai looks like they have some great products. I actually found this http://www.amazon.com/Akai-Professional-MPK-Ultra-Portable-Controller/dp/B00466HM28/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387297756&sr=8-1&keywords=akai+mpk+mini+25

Anyone know anything about Axiom keyboards? This one looks really nice and for only 100$ brand new it seems like a steal, but then again it could be a cheaper controller.

don really like midi-controllers with pads, their pads normally suck compared to a maschine or mpc.

i just upgraded to this one right here

havent even mapped any of the knobs to anything in FL studio, but its still such an improvement to my first one. the keys feel good, are not loud (like the ones of my first ones were, they were cheap and loud as fuck), play smooth.

no problems hooking it up with FL studio and even used it to control my volca bass with it. everything works without problems.

dont know about any site thats especially cheap, but you can get quite a bit of stuff with music shops all over germany distributing their stuff over ebay - bought my microphone and my interface this way and both times used the "suggest price"-feature - similar to making a deal with a smaller music shop. you can basically do the same with monitor speakers.

btw, where are you going to in germany?
