Gattsu
@Smylex interesting.. I knew about cutting it in half for things like halftime and dubstep but not into thirds. I remember commenting on a dnb post here - 5-10 years ago saying the song was 113 BPM and not dnb, and got told otherwise.. since then I always assumed it was an error when that comes up 1 Link to comment
Smylex
This always happens on Beatport for example their counter often shows the 110 range in case of dnb... I’ve found Virtual DJ very accurate on showing real numbers, will drop this track into it and see what it brings, however as I listened this track it has a slight 5-6 minutes ambient intro where is actually no beat going and first real drum drops at 51sec which indicates a 2 switch beginning equal 44-45 sec.. Without seeing result I’ll say 170 bpm for this knowing Culprate as producer he works on this speed in case of dnb. (I appologise for rough english of explanation, I’ve never really been good at music theory ) Edited March 31, 2020 by Smylex 2 Link to comment
